Photo Restoration...

One of the things my clients know they can come to me for is photo restoration. I offer this service with a clear estimate as to how much work is involved and what the expectation of the results will be. On the eve of his Dad's passing, my client brought me this photo of his parents that his brother had uncovered in some attic, deteriorated so badly by some liquid (blood?) that it had actually adhered itself to the glass. Luckily the faces were OK, which saved a lot of time, but the rest was a real mess. A scan, new background, some vingnetting and multiple correction layers later, here is the result. What do you think? After staying up late, spending all those hours learning all those cool Photoshop techniques, it's a shame to let them go to waste, right?!

Greetings from fellow Oregon Blogger. Your restoration work is fantastic. Well done.

I sometimes do volunteer restoration work for families who had photos ruined during the New Orlean's Katrina flooding. I know how hard that can be sometimes.
